Nuvemshop is an e-commerce platform that allows businesses to create and manage online stores, products, payments, logistics, and sales channels from one place. The platform provides the infrastructure for businesses to sell online and scale their e-commerce operations.
For Nuvemshop stores, reliable conversion tracking is important for understanding customer behavior and measuring the performance of advertising campaigns. However, browser-based tracking can be affected by ad blockers, browser restrictions, and other limitations.
This is where Nuvemshop conversion tracking with server-side Google Tag Manager can help. Stape's free Conversion Tracking app connects your Nuvemshop store with Google Tag Manager and your sGTM container, simplifying the implementation of server-side tracking.
In this article, we'll look at what the Stape Nuvemshop app does, its main benefits, and how it helps you set up Nuvemshop conversion tracking without manually editing your store's theme.
The app is designed to make Nuvemshop conversion tracking easier to implement while giving you access to server-side tracking capabilities. You can use it to connect your storefront events with GTM and send important transaction data directly to your sGTM container.
Stape users will enjoy the additional benefits of combining the Nuvemshop app Conversion Tracking app with proprietary solutions, such as Custom Loader, Custom Domain, and Cookie Keeper. These features reduce the impact of ad blockers, improve first-party data collection, and mitigate browser restrictions like ITP.
If you wish to use Stape’s features like Custom Loader and Cookie Keeper, you need to host an sGTM container on Stape. You will also need GA4 or Data tags configured in a web GTM. Please follow the Get started with sGTM hosting instructions for more information.
1. Set up the server GTM container and host it on Stape.
2. To install the app, log in to your Nuvemshop account, open the Stape Conversion Tracking app page, and click the Instalar (Install) button.

3. Configure the app. You will need to configure three sections: General, Data Layer, and Webhooks.
This section contains all the options for the GTM setup:

In this section, you can see boxes that enable Data Layer events. With their help, you can enrich the data by incorporating product and user details.
Note:

In this section, you can set up sending webhooks to a specified URL for various events, such as purchases and/or refunds.

1. Open any site page, open the Developer Tools, and in the Network tab filter by your tagging server URL. If you didn’t set up a custom domain, search by gtm.js. You should see the web GTM script served through that URL, with status 200.

2. In the same Developer Tools, go to Console and do some actions on your site (for example, add to cart). Type in dataLayer and press Enter. Confirm that the dataLayer is being filled.

3. Test in Google Tag Manager:
3.1. Open your sGTM container → click Preview.
3.2. In a separate tab, open your web GTM container → click Preview and enter your site URL.
3.3. Perform test actions on your website (such as add to cart).
3.4. In the sGTM debug window, verify that incoming requests arrive at your sGTM and are claimed by your Client (GA4 Client or Data Client).

The Stape Conversion Tracking app simplifies Nuvemshop conversion tracking by connecting your store with web and server-side Google Tag Manager. You can add GTM without editing the theme, collect standardized e-commerce events, and send purchase and refund data directly to your sGTM container.
The app also works with Stape features such as Cookie Keeper, Custom Loader, and custom domains, helping you build a more resilient server-side tracking setup.
