OpenAI Ads Pixel tag

The OpenAI Ads Pixel tag by Stape is a web Google Tag Manager template that helps you install and manage the Pixel without adding custom website code. It simplifies event tracking setup and helps you measure and optimize OpenAI Ads campaigns more effectively.

Add the OpenAI Ads Pixel tag template to your web GTM container from the GTM Template gallery.

Then configure your OpenAI Pixel ID and tracking settings in your GTM workspace.

After adding the tag to your web GTM container, enter your OpenAI Pixel ID and choose how events should be tracked. The tag can automatically map common GA4 and data layer events (such as page_view, purchase, and generate_lead) to the corresponding OpenAI Ads events, or you can manually define standard/custom events.

The tag supports:

• Automatic data layer mapping for GA4 ecommerce events.
• Advanced Matching to send hashed customer information and improve attribution.
• Google Consent Mode and manual consent controls.
• Event ID generation for deduplication with the OpenAI Conversions API tag for server GTM.

• Easier conversion tracking implementation. Replace manual pixel implementation on your website with a GTM tag and standardized event setup. It allows you to reduce tracking errors and improve campaign measurement.
• Better event coverage. The tag automatically maps GA4 and data layer events to OpenAI Ads events. In this way, you can capture more user actions without additional development work.
• Stronger privacy compliance. Use Consent Mode and consent controls within your tracking setup to ensure you respect user preferences. This tag section is especially helpful for businesses targeting countries that have data regulations that are mandatory to follow.
