Data Store

Data Store gives your server-side tracking setup a place to remember and reuse first-party data. Store records in collections, then retrieve them through the Stape dashboard, sGTM templates, or the REST API.

Data Store is available on Pro plans and higher for sGTM containers hosted on Stape. Open your Stape account, choose your sGTM container, and click the Store tab.

Stape Store is a built-in database for server-side tracking with sGTM. It stores tracking data in collections, so a later event can use data saved earlier.

In sGTM, the Stape Store Writer tag saves data, and the Stape Store Lookup variable retrieves it later. You can also manage Data Store data from the Stape dashboard or through the REST API.

• Keep data available for future events and longer journeys. Save identifiers, click IDs, consent states, transaction records, and customer status, then recover them when later events arrive across domains, CRMs, webhooks, or offline workflows.
• Enrich conversion events with business context. Add CRM status, customer tiers, product data, margin inputs, or fulfillment outcomes before events reach analytics and advertising platforms.
• Use more useful optimization inputs. Store profit data or purchase history to support POAS reporting, value-based bidding, and the classification of new versus returning customers.
• Manage and reuse data with less infrastructure. Use the Stape dashboard, sGTM templates, CSV import, filters, TTL, bulk actions, and REST API, with cross-container access for agency workflows.
