Cost-effective server-side hosting for efficient data management | Clickr Media

Clickr Media is a creative marketing and technology company. They provide advice on a wide range of services that cover the client's whole digital landscape.

The company’s main problem was that setting up and managing a tagging server through Google Cloud was too complicated and expensive. This setup was hard to manage and costly, especially for handling multiple client accounts. They needed something easier and cheaper. Stape provided a simpler solution at a more reasonable cost, making it much easier for them to track data and manage accounts without the hassle.

The solution the company adopted with Stape involves using:

- Global server GTM hosting: Stape’s server GTM hosting offers several advantages, including affordability and ease of use, enabling even those without technical expertise to set up cloud hosting for Google Tag Manager.

- Custom Loader: it enhances the resilience of Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 scripts against ad blockers and ITP by adjusting the loading path for gtag.js and gtm.js. By using a Custom Loader and Custom Domain, you can establish first-party cookies, extend cookie duration, and increase the resistance of web-based GTM and Google Analytics scripts to ad-blocking applications and filters.

- Logs: this feature is valuable when setting up server-side tracking because it allows you to view the data sent, the response code of each request, and the processed parameters, ensuring that any network or vendor issues are quickly identified.

• Cost reduction: Clickr Media has seen a noticeable reduction in costs compared to their previous setup with Google Cloud. The simplified, more affordable server-side GTM hosting has significantly decreased their expenses, allowing them to better manage budgets without compromising performance.

• Faster performance: transition to Stape’s hosting has made the entire setup process faster. Setting up server-side tracking and managing client accounts has become more efficient, with less time spent on technical setup and troubleshooting. This speed translates into quicker deployments and less downtime for their operations.

• Improved quality: the overall quality of their tracking has greatly improved. Stape’s easy-to-use platform and features have made the tracking more reliable, reducing issues with ad-blockers and cookie lifespans. This has resulted in more accurate data tracking, better insights, and smoother operations for Clickr Media.

With Stape, the company has found server-side tagging to be smoother, more accessible, and supported by helpful resources: tutorials and videos. They’ve benefited from useful power-ups that simplify tagging and have expressed interest in seeing even more platform support to further streamline the process. The prompt and reliable support team, though rarely needed, has added to their positive experience. They highly recommend Stape for its cost-effectiveness compared to more expensive enterprise tagging options, as it provides a viable, affordable solution for companies looking to overcome the challenges of client-side tracking. They plan to continue using Stape as long as it remains a strong alternative to other server-side tagging solutions.

Stape’s support team is available 24/7, and the knowledge base and community resources are invaluable. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us or submit a ticket.
