ExoClick tag
The ExoClick tag by Stape provides a server-side way to capture ExoClick Click IDs and report conversions from your Google Tag Manager server container. It sends conversion postbacks directly to ExoClick via server-to-server, helping preserve attribution data without depending entirely on client-side tracking.
The tag includes Page View and Conversion event types. It can read the Click ID from your landing page URL, save it to a first-party cookie, and retrieve it later when a conversion occurs. You can also configure conversion values, cookie behavior, and optional cookie syncing, while consent controls and the optimistic execution option provide additional flexibility.

- Server-side conversion reporting: send ExoClick conversion postbacks from sGTM without relying exclusively on browser-based requests.
- Click ID persistence: capture the ExoClick Click ID on the landing page and keep it in a first-party cookie for subsequent conversions.
- Goal and value support: specify the ExoClick Goal ID and pass conversion values, including dynamic values when required by the goal.
- Cookie synchronization fallback: enable browser-side cookie syncing when the server cannot use a valid Click ID for the conversion.
- Flexible cookie configuration: adjust cookie lifetime, domain, SameSite behavior, and the HTTP Only flag.
