Server-side Google Analytics 4 and gAds configuration is simpler through Gateway than through sGTM. However, Stape Gateway has the same features as configuring with server Google Tag Manager.

A request is every incoming hit that your container receives. We count any incoming requests sent to your Google Tag Manager container. It includes all script loads like gtm.js, gtag.js, etc.

You can roughly estimate the number of requests needed by looking at the number of GA4 events for the past 30 days and then adding 30% to that total.

The Stape Gateway operates based on your existing client-side tracking. By connecting it, your GA4 and Google Ads web events will be processed through the server side, offering protection from ad blockers and ITP (Safari) cookie restrictions.
