Quora conversions API tag offers a smooth solution for sending site or app events and parameters directly to Quora's servers through the Quora Conversions API. Compared to Quora pixel, CAPI integration provides higher control over data, which lets you more easily comply with data regulations. The disadvantage of pixel tracking is that ad blockers can block them, and browser restrictions impact the cookies they set. Quora Conversions API tag requires server-side tracking to address these problems.

With the Quora CAPI tag, you can track all the standard events available for Quora pixel.
1. Set up a server Google Tag Manager container (if you don't have one.
2. Configure sending data from the web to the server GTM container. Google Analytics 4 and Data Tag/Data Client are the two most popular ways to do it.
3. Add the Quora conversions API tag from the server GTM gallery.
4. To start tag configuration, go to the "Tags" section and click "New." Then, select "Quora Conversion API" as the configuration type.
5. Select event name setup method:
Standard - select from the list of standard name events.
Inherit from the client - if you select this option, the tag will try to parse server GTM event names and match them to Quora standard events.
6. Add account ID and API Access Token. You can generate an Access Token in your Quora Ads account in the Conversion API tab by clicking "Generate Token."
Optional: Enable "Use Optimistic Scenario". In this case, the tag will call gtmOnSuccess() without waiting for a response from the API. This will help speed up the server GTM response time; however, your tag will always return the status fired successfully, even if it is not.
7. You can edit and send the fields Conversion Data Override, Device Event Data Override, and User Data with the Quora CAPI tag.
From the drop list, you will see available parameters that you can track.
8. Add the trigger for a tag.
Open web and server GTM debugs and test that the Quora tag is triggered correctly.
