1. Why set up a custom domain for Snap CAPI, and is it required?

A custom domain improves data accuracy, reduces ad blockers’ impact, and enhances Event Quality Score. While not strictly required, it’s recommended for better tracking performance.

2. Can advertisers see extra data from CAPI in Snap Ads Manager?

Yes, advertisers can see improved attribution and conversion data in Snap Ads Manager, but the additional insights depend on how events are configured and matched through CAPI.

3. Does Snap CAPI track offline conversions automatically, or do they need to be set up separately?

Offline conversions need to be set up separately by sending event data from a CRM or other offline sources to Snap via CAPI.

4. How does event deduplication work when using both Snap Pixel and CAPI?

Snap uses event deduplication by matching unique event IDs from both sources. To avoid duplicate tracking, always send the same event ID for corresponding pixel and CAPI events.

5. How to increase visibility on Snap?

Start with the basics - make sure you have a Public Profile fully filled out, repurpose the successful content you have on other platforms (we have guidance), engage with our growing creator community, make sure your signals are set up for success!
