Connections overview
Updated Aug 7, 2026
The Connections simplify how you authenticate and manage integrations with third-party platforms directly from your sGTM container settings. Instead of manually creating apps, handling OAuth tokens, or writing custom integrations, you can set everything up through a simple, no-code interface – Stape securely manages the credentials and data flow on your behalf.
The Connections feature is available on the Pro subscription plans and higher. You can still use this page while being on the Free plan to install CMS and CRM apps.
How to find Connections
- Log in to your Stape account and select your sGTM container from the dashboard.

2. Click the Connections tab.

Dashboard
The dashboard is divided into three parts:
- Authentifications – sign in to platforms like Google Data Manager API, Meta, Microsoft Advertising, and Google Sheets so Stape can manage their OAuth tokens for you. Only available for the sGTM containers.
- CMS – install ready-made apps that add server-side tagging to your online store or website, enriching your data layer with e-commerce events, extending cookie lifetimes, and making tracking resistant to ad blockers. Only available for sGTM containers.
- CRM – connect your CRM's offline data to your sGTM container to automatically report lead and deal progress as conversion events. Applicable for all products.
Authentifications
Stape can handle the following authentications for you:
- Google Data Manager API – access the Data Manager API through Stape to configure customer lists and send audience data or offline conversions to Google Ads by working with Google Data Manager API Conversion Events tag.
- Google Sheets – writes data from sGTM to Google Sheets without manual authentication or a Firebase account.
- Meta – syncs first-party data to Meta Custom Audiences by working with the Meta Custom Audiences tag.
- Microsoft Advertising – manages OAuth tokens for the Microsoft Ads Offline Conversion tag – no Azure app required.
- Google Ads – this connection isn’t supported anymore, please use the Google Data Manager API. If you already have this connection implemented, it’s still going to work.
