How to configure data routing for Signals Gateway

Updated Jan 16, 2026

In the process of setting up the Signals Gateway, data routing refers to adding a subdomain within the Signals Gateway.

Implementing a custom domain (data routing) in your Signals Gateway hub helps improve measurement performance. The data routing feature lets you specify the subdomain through which the pixel communicates with the Signals Gateway.

To configure data routing, follow the steps below:

1. Click on the left menu of your admin account, Account SettingsData Routing → click Optimize.

4. Specify the following configuration for the DNS record:

  • Name: capig (or anything you prefer)
  • Type: CNAME
  • Content: the target domain that you have copied in the second step
  • DNS proxy should be set to off.

Click Save.
